Key shortcuts randomly not working?
I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this, but it seems like sometimes the tool shortcuts (E for eraser, B for pencil, - and + for the brush size, M for selection, etc etc etc) stop "responding", I can still manually switch between the tools, though it really severs the work flow obviously
It also fixes itself randomly, restarting the program doesn't fix it, but it suddenly works again after a bit, wether I restarted or simply left it open for a minute or two

Is the problem related to me or to the software..? I haven't had this before, and the keys presses ARE getting recieved...

Hi Chironyx, are you on Windows, macOS, or Linux? Does the problem appears when you switch between different applications on your desktop or is it just appears using Aseprite all the time?

I am using windows, the problem appears only in Aseprite, as the keys work outside the program, and it doesn't seem to disable all the shortcuts, just the tool switches (for example, I can still manually select the selection tool, select an area, and copy and paste it using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, yet can't press M to choose the selection tool or B to switch to the brush etc etc)

From a programming point of view, I realise you can't do anything, since you probably can't recreate the problem, since it happens randomly AND gets solved randomly, I'm more-of-hoping someone else with the same problem will stop by and tell me if he has anything that makes it go away.

Hey again, I've managed to recreate the problem, the solution is just as easy really
Apparently, when my keyboard is set to my language instead of english, it doesn't switch between the shortcuts, but when I Shift+Alt to go back to english, it recieves them once again.

Problem solved!~
Chironyx, thanks. I had this same issue.

Warning! Do not try this if you are not having any problems...I just pressed shift alt out of curiosity, and now none of my keyboard shortcuts are working. I tried pressing shift alt again to undo and it didn't work

Sorry to necro this post but I just wanted to thank the OP for keyboard language swap advice. I'm on a Japanese keyboard and was having issues with panning. middle clicking or spacebar wouldn't work on my tablet until I changed the keyboard language.

It's strange because it works fine in Clip Studio Paint...
