Aseprite

Aseprite

How to remove "Playing Aseprite" in Steam?
I can't launch Aseprite without Steam showing that I'm launching it. Sometimes it really gets on my nerves since you can't launch anything else from Steam without closing Aseprite before it. Or you can't exit Steam without it closing Aseprite
The only solution I found is launching Aseprite before launching Steam
But are there any other ways to do it?

Not sure, I guess this should be a Steam feature. A possible workaround would be to rename the steam_api64.dll in the Steam/steamapps/common/Aseprite folder (right-click Aseprite > Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files)

Yeah Steam needs to handle software differently than games. If you own multiple productivity softwares on Steam it would be completely counterproductive to be forced to close one to open another when you could be using them all at once for one project. You shouldn't have to resort to workarounds.

Hi Buddy thanks for the response but how does one do it on MacOs kindly?

haven't touched a mac in years but
try and follow the same folder structure roughly but instead ov "DLL" it would be "BSD"/ "ELF"/ "dylibs" (i think)

.....still cant find it check.....

~/Users/<your user name>/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/
~/Library/Application Support/Aseprite
search in there

if none ov this is helpful sorry.
But since more attention is brought to this thread, hopefully they will respond again
