Where is Flashlight pumping? Removed or what?
Is that just me or flashlight pumping removed from game?

My flash never turns off, only goes from white to yellow and i cant find button (gamepad) to pump it up like i did in 2033. They seriosly removed this immersive cool feature?

If its is removed this should be returned with patch!

Also if there is no way to pump flashlight, how can i even let it reload? By turning it off?

Update:
Good news - it still in game.
Bad news - game has no manual or readme to read about all controls, people here cant read that im talking about GAMEPAD controls, and giving me tips about keyboard, others just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, trolling and insulting everyone.
Steam forums so crappy and useless, publishers and devs so lazy nowadays so they dont even include readme and manuals with games :-(

To do it with a gamepad, you hold L2 and press left on the dpad. With kb+m you hold down the flashlight key.

just wow to this thread
You're just....
This thread is..
Just.
Why would you even think 4A removed something as crucial as the the dimming flashlight which offers a tradeoff between readying your gun for battle or charging your flastlight up?

On the PC - the F key for Flashlight on/off and it's used for recharging. Hold it down, right-mouse to pump it up. You really do want to keep it charged and you don't want to keep it on all the time.

There are a couple pneumatic weapons too. The Helsing is pneumatic (spear gun) - hold the R key for reload, then right-mouse to pump up penumatic weapons.

G key is for the gasmask to put it on and off. tap the G key to wipe junk off the mask.

So on and so forth.

I did smile at your post - it's still there.

Xbox 360 controller default binds such a mess and in-game tips turned off ( i play on ranger hardcore) and menu where you can see binds, does not reflect such a combos, thats why i started thread from asking "Is that just me or flashlight pumping removed from game?"

So it was just me and x 360 controller not very intuitive controls and lack of gamepad control rebind feature in game and no manual on steam.

Its not my fault that:
1) There is no manual on steam to read about all controls and features before starting game.
Seriosly, devs and publishers nowadays so lazy so they dont even make readme and manuals for many games, and metro 2033 no exception, especially if you bought it on steam (not sure if retail version has manual, but steam version surely has no digital manual).

2) There is no rebind feature for gamepad contols in game. it allows to look at controls and make them confortable for you. Many lazy devs thinks that 3 predefined counter-intuitive layouts for gamepad will be comfortable for everyone and does not provide rebind feature, despite its quite easy to do same way as they does for keyboard.

3) Gamepad Layot screens does not cover complete controls for gamepad.
Only basic name of what button does by default are given no combinations covered and no detailed descriptions.

4) Gameplay tutorial that explains controls disabled on ranger hardcore mode.
And i dont mean simple stuff like "tilt forward L stick to move and Rstick to look around" - hate such obvious tips, i mean some specific non intuitive tips like "to pump your flashlight press RB and then Dpad left" , that should appear at least on 1st playthrough when your flashlight is almost off for the 1st time in game (and after that this tip should never appear again).

5) There are some tips on menu, but they are random and there is no-game manual or tips sections which you can access from menu and read all about controls (just lok at Far Cry 3, Witcher and so on - they has in-game manual that explains all controls and gameplay features even with videos that shows that in action).

How the hack without all of this, i can guess that i need to hold LB and then press Dpad left to pump flashlight?

So LB + Dpad Left? DOes it work for all 3 layout or only for specific one? I play with layout 3

lmao.... not intuitive.... how about you read the rest of these discussions and the mess everyone is saying about kb/m controlls when there's no UI.... only in this discussion has anyone tried to make sense of all the confusion being spread.

everyones got their head up their asses and no one wants to help....

from using the gamepad perspective, these discussion have been a hilarious riot!!!

kb/m elitists should burn in hell with digital WASD movement at constant speed.

Why the hell i should read 100 pages of steam forums where 90% of messages are insults and trolling by people, who instead of helping other people, just writing offensive messages?

Just look at this thread, i asked if this was removed or not, and said that i play with gamepad and cant find button to do so, only 1 of 7 replies was on subject and helpful, while rest 6, was just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, trolling and insults or in best case keyboard controls, because they dont read carefuly that i mentioned i play with gamepad.
And you really suggest me to read steam forums for help, and looking for a pearl in the abyss of ocean (1 helpful message in 100 useless crappy messages) instead of just reading game manual?

All controls should be covered in manual or readme, but there is no manual or readme for MLL.

P.S - if you reed this message before ir edited, sorry, i misunderstood your tone.

The reason people insulted you was because of the sarcastic tone you used in your original message critizicing the devs for removing a feature (I see you have since edited and removed the sarcasm) that wasn't removed at all. You reap what you sow. I can sympathize with your confusion (I had the same issue with 2033 when it come out), but like I said, using sarcasm, flying off the handle and falsely accusing the devs of removing a feature without doing some actual research, well, it just makes you look immature at best, and a tool at worst.

Glad you found the answer though and are enjoying the game finally. I've been blown away by the visuals, gameplay is ok, nothing world changing, but those visuals omg, *homer drool*
