tank battle (spoilers)

so I am totally baffled as to what to do against the tank in the battle at the end

all the clue you get is "second platform - go!"

I have no idea what "platform" he's talking about. I don't see any "platforms". All I see is a tank that's murdering us and we don't have a single way of taking it out because all we have is regular guns and bullets aren't going to stop that thing.

what the ♥♥♥♥ are you supposed to actually do here??????????

Shoot the red parts of the tank. The red bar that connects the two wheels first. Then shoot the two wheels.

Then shoot the ammo as the shields open up.

I agree, the whole 'get to the second platform' is dumb and confusing and got me killed a few times on RHC trying to figure out just what the F they meant.

Like the others said, just look for the big bright glowing red parts on the tank and fire at them.

ya they could have just said "shoot the tank" and I would have eventually figured it out - but that whole stupid "second platform" comment totally threw me off.. I could have been trying to figure it out for days or weeks trying to find something that you would think would actually hurt a tank, because I wouldn't have guessed that you could damage it with regular guns.

Don't forget to use the different sniper rifles supplied at the ammo boxes

If ranger mode dlc, filler story, and zero campaign playthrough challenge wasn't enough to convince you this game was trolling then "second platform" logic is proof beyond any degree of doubt. I am genuinely curious, now, if "second platform" is at all a reference or inductive allusion to the books.

I think they simply meant "opposite platform" or "next platform", i'm guessing they didn't realise to most english speakers second platform would mean second level.

if you have a assauls rifle I strongly suggest you use that instead, you'll beat it in 4-5 reloads (45 secs)

Ah this makes the most sense. They probably did mean the opposite platform. Cause ♥♥♥♥ it, I was confused as hell as well....WHERE THE F IS THE OTHER SECOND PLATFORM!?

Just got round to playing the console version and TY for this discussion. That second platform was doing my head in. I thought the game had bugged out on that cage lift.
