With my other issue with npcs freezing that's fixed too so far. After reverting the game files back to normal I added the -dx11 command into the steam properties. Not sure if that's helping too but 2 hours in and no crashes.
If interested: google at r_api or look my posthistory
Open user.cfg with text editor.
Locate line r_api and change the value to corresponding API value: 0 for DX9, 1 for DX11 and 2 for DX12
My advice is 1. Also while ingame set SSAA to auto.
Also use chapters instead of reloading savegame.
Then i have 1 last solution. Download a completed savegame and copy over to your savegames location the missing chapters since you didnt unlock them. When start game you will see all chapters are unlocked now. Play the chapter after Bandits. This way it was a solution for another user.
