Game was not dropped, it was completed. Single player is basically a demo of what you can do.
As for janky he was a lone developer with the occasional help of a couple friends. Also considering he made his own engine and damn near made it open source the game is really a hidden gem. I think most people don't understand the potential of what you can do in this as he really don't show it in his marketing.
There is also a workshop if you didnt see that.
Not sure exactly what there is to do in this game. Maybe build? I would probably enjoy the building aspect more if the world gen wasn't so messed up with most of the maps I generate being chaotic arrangements of mountains and valleys. Enemies just spawn randomly and all act pretty much the same.
I just assumed the game was dropped since it seems so unfinished, and while it's quite impressive that the game and the engine was made by one dude, it's still a very rough product. I have a hard time finding enjoyment in it. If the enemy spawn system was tweaked a bit, and the terrain generation was tuned to reduce the amount of mountainous terrain, it would improve the game by an order of magnitude. Perhaps I'm missing something?
Skyrim meets Minecraft good example. The amount of things people can do in those games with the open creativity is also here. That is what I mean, but I don't think most people want to make games just play them. So there is not enough workshop DLC or addons what ever to make that happen. This is a perfect place for a somebody who wants to make a game but not from scratch. You can completely change the materials of the blocks and make them metallic space blocks change the sky and make ships planes railways add new creatures more spacelike then make a new game.
So how do you get into modding it? I'd be interested in doing that myself.
I made a basic block item guide long ago, there are also many other tutorials also.

Right, like I was saying a hidden gem. I just dont think people know what you can do in this game as it is not really advertised in the store. I thought the minecraft people would be all over this, and then joined by other modders from other games.
Needs a bit of marketing overhaul no offense Osaris.
This was my first game I modded, before I moved onto something I can use FBX files with,
That was only thing that I was not able to do here and Blender is where my real skill is.
