Game doesn't start
I tried for hours to play with a friend but it won't start. I open the game, it says to start press shift+tap, but the screen, mouse, everything is frozen, I have to force a complete re-start of the system. Multiple times. I don't get it running. PS: I'm using MacBook Air High Sierra. Can anyone help?

Please try verifying your game files:
  1. Right-click the game in your library
  2. Go to 'Properties'
  3. Go to the local files tab
  4. Click 'Verify integrity of game files...'

Hi there, sorry for the late reply. I did what you suggested and it said it all files were checked successfully. But it still freezes when I want to start it. I also tried to mirror it on the tablet but that doesn't work either. Again I had to force a re-start and when I then re-opened steam the only message I got was: Golf with your friends tries to start with parameters "'-psn_0_40970'". That's all. Any more suggestions? Please :)

Do you have the caddy pack DLC installed at all?

Can you please also try the following steps:
  1. Go to Steam -> Settings.
  2. Click the In-Game tab.
  3. Uncheck "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game"

still doesnt work, crashing at the beginning

Hi there,
I don't have any DLC installed at all. I just bought the basic game, that my friend told me to do to play with him.
I just did uncheck "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game" and tried again, but it's still not working. Froze like before, just did not ask to press any buttons to start. Had to force a restart again... So... any more suggestions? :steamsad:

Let's check if the game has the correct access to your Mac.
To give the game access to your Mac, please follow the steps below:

Open your Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, click Privacy, click Accessibility and select the tickbox next to Golf With Your Friends.

Then save the change and test the game.

Get back to us when you can!

Hi, so I did exactly that and there's still no change. :(
Again after the forced re-start there was a message that the game tried to start with parameters "'-psn_0_36873'" But it's still not working.

Hi again,

actually, I just tried something different... I tried it on my windows work laptop and it worked fine. So at least after 2 months I can finally have good news of some sort. :) So whatever is the problem with my mac (maybe processor?), I made it work at least... So thanks for all the time getting back to me!
