Sorry to hear you're having this issue.
What graphics do you have in your system?
Are you able to revert to a previous OP such as Catalina and test the game?
Have you played the game on this machine at all before?
Get back to us when you can.

- The new MacBook Air laptops use the integrated graphics cores in the M1 SoC. There is no separate graphics card/chip.
- I am not able to roll back to previous version of the operating system.
- I have not played the game successfully on this machine before, but I have heard of others that have.
Thanks for sharing that with us.
Could you please remove any in-game save/data and test the game again?
It sounds like it's hanging right where the game picks up any save data, so it may be an issue with this.
Right-Click the application and "Show Package Content" this should then take you to the games folder in which there should be a PlayerPrefs folder which you can delete.
You will not lose any items if they do this because they are tied to your Steam Inventory, not the game itself.
Also, have you played the game on another machine at all?
Get back to us when you can.

I can't find a 'PlayerPrefs' folder when browsing the package content. What should the exact file path be?
I have successfully played the game on a Windows machine, but not on a Mac.
Thanks for getting back to us.
Can you please check both of the following:
~ > Library > Application Support > unity.Blacklight Interactive.Golf With Your Friends
users > [user] > Library > Preferences > unity.Blacklight Interactive.Golf With Your Friends.plist
Can you please also turn off the cloud storage for the game? It may be that it is grabbing the information from when you played on a Windows PC and this may be causing some corruption between the saves. (Then make sure the information is removed from your PC so it has not pulled the cloud data back).

I deleted the two files/folders you mentioned and also turned off Steam Cloud for the game. The game launches now. I tried re-enabling Steam Cloud and the game still launches. Thanks!
Hi, just tried playing the game again for the first time in a few months. I am getting the same startup freeze as before, and the solution you outline above does not seem to work. Any ideas?
Sorry to hear that this is happening - we did not change anything within the game since you last played - let's try to check your game installation to make sure that there are no corrupted files causing the problem. To do this:
- Right-click on the game in your Steam Library, choose Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and press Verify integrity of game files...
- Attempt to run the game to see if the issue is resolved
