Cannot shoot ball.

I purchased the game today and upon loading into the game i could not get the ball to move. I left click and hold to set the power bar, but upon releasing the left click the ball does nothing.

You may need to host the game again. We have seen this issue a few times, but its hard to track down the cause.

Are you fully connected? can you see and join other people games?

Make sure the game is allowed through your firewall and antivirus

I have no trouble making or joining games. The status always connected. I have no trouble entering into the actual game. I have double checked the firewall settings. Rebooted about 4 times. Even tried changing to the europe server. No matter what i do i cannot shoot the ball, even in practice.

I also do not know how to change my ingame name. It seems to not load any name when i join a server
has joined.

Sorry this is happening to you.

This looks like an error with steam initializing. The game grabs the name and sets stats to steam. If it cannot get this connection it will throw errors like this.

Could you send the Output_log found in X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Golf With Friends\Golf With Friends_Data to [e-mail]

Ill see if I can find anything in there, This issue is quite rare.

I found that when i start spamming left-click i occasionally see my stroke counter increase, but the ball doesnt move.

Could you check and make sure that steam_api.dll is in the game folder found at.

X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Golf With Friends

could you please let me know if it is in there or not.
There may be an instance where the anti virus or somthing removed this file from the game.

I was having this error, and then I tried running it in windowed mode and I can shoot the ball now.

Does runnng steam as admin help at all?

i literally tried every fix here. my anti virus isn't blocking it the steam_api.dll folder is there and running steam as an admin and playing in windowed mode wont do anything.

This issue is useally fixed by the admin thing.

dont worry i had to restart my computer 500 times for it finally start letting me shoot again
