The complaint is justified. Even with their price raises which is understandable, 9 dollars for one course is extremely overpriced. I would have even scoffed at $4.99, but ultimately even that price would have been doable. $8.99 for one course? Not sure what they're smoking.

The Course looks nice + 3 New Achievments. The developerteam is smaller so i'd rather give them more Money for their work than those giant companies :)

lmao people these days are so entitled, 8.99 is not a lot for a map. This is a small dev team that is growing their team on this older title that their probably surprised is still played so much. Expanding the team costs money, if 8.99 is too much to play an 18 hole round of golf i would recommend you don't look at the price of golfing in real life, you may have an aneurysm with those prices..

It like people forget that real people that need to eat and pay bills are working on this..

ill bet youre one of those kind of people who buy cod coins or micro transactions and pay to win kind of stuff.

agreed with op. 8.99 too much. and the fact that youre raising prices on things is alright since it was already super cheap but 8.99 is way too much for one course. looks like its back to golf it! game instead

You know what I can buy for $4.99? Vampire Survivors. A game with literally dozens of hours of content for cheaper. You know what doesn't provide me with dozens of hours of content? A $8.99 DLC course. The fact this is $8.99 and other courses are $2.99 or less makes zero sense. This SINGLE course is more than HALF the cost of the entire base game.

It's outrageous indeed. These are some EA prices or something. Maybe even worse than that. This will backfire so hard on them

lmao haven't paid for anything in COD for years, i am 27 and lost interest in COD a long long time ago. But ah yes keep trying.

I more so like to pay people for their effort, like it or not inflation is affecting all industries, i just went to a square boys i went to in highschool for a slice of pizza, it was 4.90 a slice where as in highschool it was 2.50.

Things cost more these days so people do need to make more money to afford to live like jesus some of you guys have not experienced the real world and it shows.

We get it, you enjoy the taste of your corporate overlord's boots and have no problem being price gouged for very little content.

Imagine actually paying 2.50 for a slice of pizza, nevermind 4.90. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lol. Once a sucker, always a sucker.

$11.80 CND for 18 holes, BTW Team 17 is not a small indie team they swallowed up the original devs...and golf in real life is $$$ and is a privileged game for ppl with money to spend...

The rate at which map DLC prices have increased is kinda jarring...
Several maps were added for free up until 2020.
Then paid maps in 2022-2023 (3$ USD for 18 holes, 2$ for 9 holes).
Then barely a year later it's 9$ for 18 hole maps (300% increase)? At this rate, how much is the next map gonna cost?
Johners Sep 12, 2023 @ 9:18am
Does everyone need to buy the map DLC for an online game or just the host?

The ♥♥♥♥ are you smoking? Or are you simply misinformed?

Firstly: Team17, who aren't just the publisher but by now also the developer, are a publicly traded company. They've bought the whole IP in 2020 for 13 or so million GBP from Blacklight Interactive. BLI are no longer involved in the making of this game. T17 like to act like the scruffy little underdog indie dev, but they absolutely aren't... Indie devs usually don't buy up IPs.

Secondly: Don't compare prices for 'Actual Golf' with 'Mini Golf', you would'd pay Formula One prices for a Go Kart track, or would you? Btw. For the price they're asking I could play 1½-2 rounds as an adult on a local Mini Gold course. That's in Vienna, really not the cheapest city, and not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Idaho.

I dont know why but quote replying isn't working for me on this post, but sure i guess i am a boot licker because i understand peoples cost of living is going up, oh no we have to pay a bit more for our digital enjoyment. Games are not needed to live where as money kind of is.

Sure i guess i am a sucker for buying a slice of pizza for 4.90 because i was on lunch break and it was the nearest place, i should have just ate some grass and dirt for lunch instead!

Do i think some things in games are overpriced now? sure, but for a game where you can join someone else that owns the DLC, can invite friends to play the game if they don't own it even, there is plenty of ways for people to experience it for free even but sure 8.99 is crazy for 18 holes the 9 holes are going up to 4.99

But alrighty ill go lick some more boots while people live in fantasy land where things will never cost more.
