Can't hit ball

I join a game, i have the power at full, and when i let go of mouse 1, it stays at full power and the ball doesn't move. Other players are moving around, and game is not frozen.

Does this happen when you create and join your own private game?

I joined a friend's game, practice and through the actual course, I can't hit the ball.

Try running steam as Admin.
