Q's about editor (curious map maker)
gonna keep this short and sweet, just have some questions regarding the editor and how it functions to know how big i should dream for my map ideas; if any of these could be answered that'd be great, if its a hush on how it works until its released, i understand

1. are we able to create custom geometry brushes or are we limited to snap together prefabricated brushes?
2. will be able to import custom textures/models for our custom maps or are we limited to game assets
3. how will our completed custom levels be hosted? steam workshop?

thats about all i can think of for now, sorry in advanced if questions like these have been answered before

1. Brushes such as terrain manipulation and terrain painting is do-able and we will work towards that however the first build of the editor won’t include it due to time restraints. but it will be fun to play with :P on the idea of painting geometry we have a snap feature but also un snap, scale, etc you can also grab a corner piece and draw out the walls to make it faster to create courses ( of course all of this could change )

2. We wanted to allow this however we want to keep the art style the same along with avoiding issues with porn, stolen assets, etc working their way into the workshop which is seen a lot on other games and it’s just a huge headache and isn’t very professional ( we might in the future include a curation project so people can submit themes, etc and we + the community will vote ).

However, I wouldn’t worry too much about a lack of assets we will have 5-6 themes with a ton of new assets included to use and more to come!

3. The maps will be on the workshop, from what I can tell ( I’m not the programmer ) Wheel wants to make it so the host subscribes to maps then the people joining just download it and these map downloads will only be a few mb due to the way we have set it up :)
All of these things could change, we also have a ton of ideas and things to add so it will be well worth the wait.

I dont mind for 2. not being able use custom assets but hopefully you can consistantly update the assets to include more over time.

Will there will be limits to assets? or course length?

From what i can tell ( not the programmer ) there might be a limit on assets to prevent over doing it but im unsure, also i think i heard Wheel who is the programmer talking about making it so you can have as many holes as you would like.

wat a shame I really wanted to import custom dinosaur models to make custom maps.

I do understand that you don't want people abusing it.
