how can I get past those amoebas with miller?

I'm having trouble getting miller past those fecking amoebas. They just swarm us, and we get halfway to the lift.

I've tried grenades, my volt driver, my ak 2012, my sniper pistol. I never get farther then halfway.

How did you all manage to get past those things?

With great difficulty. But that's because I had no ammo by that point.

Destroy those thingies that spawn the amoebas (Shotgun is good for this, but you don't have it, so...um...dunno, try the volt driver). I couldn't do this because I had only the revolver and it doesn't kil fast enough...so I ran alongside, and a little bit ahead of, Miller. Aimed backwards, and shot all of the amoebas heading up behind him with the revoler. He dealt with the ones in front. Pretty sure we only got through that bit by luck, though.

omfg thank you! I had no idea that those things were destructable. Used about 750 rounds to kill them all, but there you go. done and done.

btw, i'm playing on medium difficulty.

I meant post-death tip. I must've seen it half a dozen times before I even reached the amoebas. I guess I died more than you.

So I just finished replaying and found a massive stash of rifle ammo just before that area. Damn, would have been nice first time round.

In the computer room where Vladimir gets the computers up and running for all of two minutes before they go down. Then you leave, fight two Amoebas, and go with Miller down the elevator. Okay, so, back in that room with Vlad, on the right hand wall there are some shelves you can search for, like, eight packs of assault rifle ammo.

Some of the details are a little fuzzy, but that sounds about right. I might check tomorrow. Might.

I find that by hangning back a ways and killing those that respawn after he kills them and shooting those nests on the wall/floor, Miller will do the rest. It was hard at first, running straight into them but, the second time, I just hung back a bit and followed him then we made it through.

A partial spoiler maybe...
You can kill most of them prior to walking amoungst them. There is a way to get a line of fire on them before they start spawning like mad. Sniper-pistol worked for me in this way.

ok, so I'm about to go into D6 again. This time on ranger easy.

I have:
Stealth armor
sniper pistol - 213 rounds
Ak 2012 - 553 rounds
Heavy Auto Shotgun - 493 rounds
6 minutes on my gasmak

Lets see how I do!

With nearly 500 bullets for heavy shotgun you should be more than fine.
I would recommend switching to heavy gear in Polis since there is not much stealth after that. But if you already reached D6, I guess, there is no point of reloading your game to get that.

yea, in polis I only had 30 ish mgr's. no way I could have afforded that heavy armor

oh, leaving D6 I have:

Sniper Pistol - 163 rounds
AK 2012 - 219 rounds
Heavy Auto Shotgun - 370 rounds

most of that spent ammo went into killing those spawners. Take that how you like, but I think that says all it needs to right there.
