The flying monster did anyone ever kill one?
I think they're called demons. I tried shooting the first one you come across lots first time I played. It didn't die and I think they can't be killed. Did anyone manage it?

Sure, you get an achievement for killing them. Some are parts of scripted events and can't be killed during those scenes. If you have the volt driver (hellbreath) it takes 2 shots to kill a demon.

OK cool, thanks.

Appreciated, thanks again. I have to try and kill one next time I play 2033. I have played it seven times so far. Twice on normal, and the rest on hardcore. (Truly classic game.)

If I have enough ammo next time, I will have a go at a demon. Last time I played, I was searching every corner for high grade ammo, and then spending almost none. I was surviving with just ammo I collected mostly, and I found more in places I had not found before. I may need to buy a bit for a demon. (Not spending high-grade ammo meant I could buy the armour and the scoped-silenced-Kalash at Police.)

Are you playing the steam version? You should have the Ranger Pack DLC included if you are. So you get the volt driver for free. It's in 3 places. The bandit lair (lost tunnels with Bourbon), Andrew's room (armory level) and the Church (after the library and before you leave for D6). An easy way to make some cash on the armory level is to sell the weapons in Andrew's room. There's a volt driver and heavy automatic shotgun. Just take them down to the weapon shop and trade them for a duplet. You get around 70 something mgr for the shotgun and 200 something for the volt driver if I remember right.
I don't buy weapons anymore when I play 2033. I just pick them up as I go. I may not always get the exact configuration I want when I want, but I get by.
