Press Start to Continue? HELP

So it says I have to press start to continue in the menu. Problem is, I don't even use a controller. I tried attaching on, but it didn't do anything. No use uninstalling either. I tried it. I can't get past the start menu. Shift+Tab works, skipping the intro video works, just no start. I don't have a start button on mu key board(obviously!). What should I do? PLEASE HELP

yo estoy igual que tu, pero uso el mando de la xbox, el original de pc y tampoco me deja apretar start para continuar, que mierdaaaa

tienes que desenchufar el mando de la xbox y luego descarga esto, que lo deshabilitara del juego, asi podras jugar con teclado y raton. Por que el dichoso juego sigue creyendo que tenemos el mando conectado y no nos deja jugar

Is one plugged in? If yes, press start or make sure it is unplugged BEFORE starting the game. If not it should say 'press any key to continue'.

No. I only tried one to see if the start button would work. It didn't.

It's detecting a gamepad or controller if it says to press start. If you have some sort of fancy gaming keyboard or mouse, maybe that's doing it. If you have a gaming mouse with a bunch of buttons and stuff, it might be one of those. Also, connect your conroller, restart the computer with it connected, then try the game to see if the start button works. Otherwise try uninstalling/reinstalling.

Well, I have to reinstall steam anyways because of another problem. I do have a gaming mouse, so I'l look into it.

Nope. Reinstalling fixed the other problem I had, but it stills ays press start. I disabled my mouse in Device Manager and tried, but still nothing. I'm extremely confused as to why this is happening.

Baklou did you ever get this working? I am having the same issue with no controller hooked up and when I did hook one up the start button doesn't work to move this along.

Sadly, no. I didn't try uninstalling mouse drivers though, so it might work for you.
