Question about the amoebas in 2033 redux [Possible Spoilers?]
If you guys remember near the end of the original metro 2033 there was a level that involved an incredebly broken, glitchy, and stupidly hard sequence involving a bunch of infinitely amoeba looking things. They made it nearly impossible to progress by killing your incredebly delicate npc that you're forced to escort and reverting to your last checkpoint.

I was wondering if this part of the game was fixed in the redux or even in it at all anymore. I have been having a hard time finding any solid information on it as I don't want to watch lets plays and possibly spoil new content the redux version might have in it.

I just know it ruined the game for a lot of people.

I can't say from personal experience, but according to the Metro Wiki[metrovideogame.wikia.com], that level has been tweaked a bit:

Originally posted by Metro Wiki:
In Metro 2033 Redux, amoebae and pores act considerably differently-- the pores now resemble fleshy spheres, and each one can only release a single amoeba before going inactive. The pores themselves no longer need to be killed either. It's possible that this change was made by the developers in response to player frustration over the original version of the level with the regenerating amoebae and constantly spawning pores. Additionally, the pores can be killed with a single shot from any weapon on any difficulty, making them much easier to dispatch, though the amoeba are not so vulnerable.

I can't say I've heard of many people having a problem with the amoebas. The thing to do is kill the nests that spawn them. The ak worked best for that. Yes, it's still in redux, although it's shorter.
