Black Librarian?

Yeah, so I just got past the part where the elevators falls, and there's this black librarian and it sees you as soon as you step out of the elevator, so I don't think you can sneak past it, as far as I know. It took more or less 120 or 130 assault rifle rounds to kill it. Are they meant to be snuck past, or what? The sneaking 'system' in this game doesn't seem very special

No, seriously, am I actually supposed to kill these things? The next area, the archives, has one right off the bat and they take way too much ammo, which I cannot afford to use, to kill and I can't sneak past it.

I play on Ranger Hardcore so I don't know if it will be the same for lower difficulties because the enemies take more shots to kill but I find that the best weaponds to use on them are the Hellsing and the Throwing Knives. Eh, I got past it eventually and... beat the game. Woo. I ended up running past everything and forgetting about looting.

Well, I saw the trailer and it looks pretty neat. I suppose I might as well, since I want to see the rest of the story and I'm not exactly invested enough to get the books.

After the lift, that first black librarian always attack you, The rest of them won't if you are good.
