Metro 2033 crash at Start ?? this might fix that!

Hello Everyone facing Crash Problem and that PhysX dll problem in Metro 2033. Try this Solution


physix setup is included with game installation. check game directory in steam folder wherever u have installed it..
game crashes because that PhysXLoader.dll PhysXLoader64.dll etc are installed in
"C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common " (64bit OS)
folder. but not in game installation directory. that is where game looks for this file.

so go to that Nvdia Corp's Common Folder, copy all files and put in your game installation Directory. " Steam\steamapps\common\Metro 2033"

it will fix that crash


if even then the game Hangs/ Crashes. then Run "metro2033benchmark.exe" in Game installation directory With "PhysX off" and set graphics setting medium or high / Custom Run Benchmark 2-3 times and then Save that Configuration. This might Fix the Crash. :)

Tried to run a benchmark but the game crashed directly at the beginning, causing the benchmark to hang itself up.

Edit: Saw in a youtube video another possible solution by installing Metro: Last Light and copying the three physx files from that game to this. Didn't help either.

fixed the error with reinstalling Physix (first download from here[www.nvidia.de]) and then copying the files to the metro folder

I don't believe it O.o Changing the language to German (which downloaded the german language pack) actually let the game start...

Reinstalling Physix and then copying the files to the metro folder did help!!! Thanks everyone!

Running a non steam copy "wink wink nudge nudge"
having the crash on startup *plays like 2 frames of the intro then kicks back to desktop*
tried everything... Went into the game directory and moved "content.upk0" out of the directory and it actually launched.
