This game "broke" my second monitor
Hello,
since I downloaded this game, I have been getting these Windows right-down-corner popups that my second monitor should be in 2560 x 1440 resolution. I use it as extension of my laptop screen. BUT, my second monitor is very old and has resolution of only 1650 x 1080, so wtf? I could even suddenly change to that resolution, so even more WTF. I tried that on desktop as well as with CS 1.6 and it worked, but I switched back to my old resolution.

Today, I launched this game, black screen, total freeze, needed restart. Now, my second monitor still works, but CAN NOT work as extension of my laptop screen, only copy. And even then, only one screen can work at a time. Now whenever I connect my second monitor as an extension, I only get this monitor message (not from windows):

ANALOG
OUT OF RANGE
134,4kHz /120Hz

Out of range seemed like common problem when I googled, but it does not seem that anyone had their monitor "blocked" after that. When I tried second monitor with another laptop, it worked well, so something is bad on my laptop, but what? I opened display settings, blindly dragged it from second monitor to my laptop monitor, changed some settings, and it did not do anything.

Anyone can help me there please? Few hour already wasted for this stupid problem.

The game can't break anything, you or your other applications/drivers did that change. Simply set correct screen resolution, aspect ratio and refresh rate for the secondary screen.

Also ensure your drivers for your graphics card(s) are working and are up to date.

I did some Windows recovery to three days ago, and it works now.

Sure, it did not break anything, that is why i put it in "", but tinkering with screen resolution etc did not seem to work. Definitely not touching this game again.

I believe when running metro for the first time it default resolution is 1650x1080. Messed up some of my windows settings too had to manually change it back. Idk why only with this game that happened.
