I'd forgotten all about this thread, to be honest. Nice to know someone actually answered it.
Jordaniol: You're right, I could've looked it up, but at the time I asked that question, it was the winter Steam sale and I had very little time to look stuff up. The main reason being I was visiting my in-laws, and they had a number of festive activities planned, so my time was limited at best.
Besides that, I did try to look it up and (at the time) found nothing. Since this forum is dedicated to FME, there's no harm in asking a question like I did. Part of the reason forums for specific games exist is to answer questions like mine and help other gamers out whenever possible.
However, unfortunately, the multi are kinda quiet, so "Last Stand" DLC is a great alternative too, wave based singel and multiplayer. Nice way to learn the moves.
I am not so sure about this answer because I have played the game single player with the weapon pack 2 DLC listed as being there and I have used the weapons from this DLC in single player games just by selecting them during the Wanzer equipment selection before any given mission. When the game came out they introduced the Weapons pack and both of the Wanzer packs as being for single player and multiplayer games so I can't see why that would change.
