you might find this same issue with parsec. but i do like it more and in my testing its better on latency especially with multiple clients.
Just a thought - I've had a bunch of audio issues with this game in the years since I bought it - just a week ago, Surround sound was working on mine, via my headphones, and even spatial audio seemed to be (which is pointless in this game, but what the heck) - today, all voice audio tracks are missing until I change "surround" to "stereo". All other sound is there - just no dialogue.
Probably worth taking a glance at if you have not already done so, since this might be the MOST inconsistent game I've ever played, as far as audio... seems like every time I pick up this damn game I have a DIFFERENT issue, usually audio related.
