Additionally, Ace Combat 7 has been announced for PC, though a Steam store page has yet to be made. I'd say keep a diligent eye out for it and pre-order, because it's likely that they'll use AC7 to decide if they'll ever make another PC game again.
Velvet can be a bit cringy, but overall the crew in this game is pretty top-notch. The only games I can think of with a better cast are the Legend of Heroes: Trails games (4 of those on Steam). That series is probably my favorite JRPG series so far, up there with SMT.
Edit: Grandia 2 battles are kind of like a cross between the Dragon Quest menu style and how Tales games play out in real time, which is pretty interesting. That might be worth checking out.
