Japanese. Pretty great voice acting from the whole main cast. I've only heard a bit of the English voices, but I prefer the original VA.

The English one, of course -- so you can actually understand what they are saying, instead of having to stare at the subtitles.

Both are great in their own ways. I played 1st playthrough in English (to understand better) and 2nd in Japanese.

When I watch anime, I ALWAYS go JP. However, when I play Tales games, I prefer to listen to the English voice acting. A major part of that is because I like to hear and understand what they say in battles and stuff when subtitles don't pop up, or you're too busy actually playing the game to read. The eng is pretty well done in this one too, barring Bienfenue.

English, Magilou sounds terrible in Japanese to me, like an old women.

I found the young Velvet's voice annoying, and I found Kamoana's voice annoying, but other than those instances, I preferred the English voices over the Japanese voices.

Do the original voice actors a favour...
