Bug help: Voice acting is silent in game?
Movies: Have voice acting.
In game cut scenes: No voice acting
Gameplay: No voice acting

I didn't mute the audio, so all I have to go off of is subtitles. I thought honestly it was going the zelda route of no voice actors, but then I saw gameplay and there should obviously be voice acting where there isn't any; has anyone encountered this glitch, and if so: what was your troubleshoot / workaround?

TL;DR characters lips are movin', no voice is a-singin'

If you verify game files that might fix it

I have no clue sorry the game works fine for me make sure you windows is fully updated restart steam and your pc
a couple of things to try:
1) In the in-game menu (where you can select party members equipment etc), select options, ensure that sound is set to stereo, also set windows to stereo too. - this usually fixes most problems like this

2) If you have nihamic audio sonic studio, shut them down - the game doesn't really like either of them. (To be honest, neither do I! :bienfucrying:)

3) turn off spatial sound/windows sonic for headphones/dolby atmos and see if that makes a difference.

4) You could try setting windows sound as follows:
open windows sound control panel (type in sound in the search bar)
select your sound device, and select configure in the bottom left, ensure sound is stereo
then go into properties:
select the advanced tab, ensure sample bit depth is 24 bit, 44000/48000 hz
in spatial sound tab turn off.

Well I do have a picture of what I'm experiencing, and thanks, odd thing is: victory voice lines aren't muted. That is really weird.

Usually the voice-acting not playing during the cutscenes and stuff is because the game's audio is set to Surround. For some reason, that setting seems bugged and doesn't play dialogue audio properly. The only sure fix I know of is to just set the audio to Stereo instead.
