It would save me the trouble of emulators, and be less glitchy!
I can still play Xillia and Xillia 2 just fine. They'd be okay with just an HD remaster on PC. But games like Symphonia, Phantasia, Destiny etc. could benefit greatly from remakes. I mean Symphonia doesn't even have free run. Abyss just needs an HD remaster on PC but could also benefit from a remake far more than Xillia and Xillia 2 in my opinion
Some things could definitely be improved, like, explaining the contamination effect and 'Big Bang'. Maybe adding alternate ending. Possibly, have Asch live up into the final battle, but have him, die from big bang effect before tear starts to sing the grand fonic hymn. If Luke loses have him be the one to stay behind, etc.
My biggest gripe with the game is, the third chapter has so much focus on Asch And Luke being accepted as two different people. That it for some strange reason, discards that.. to mirage them together...@.@....
And please update the battle system..~
I don't think Symphonia really needs anything done to it, besides, the 60FPS issue.
I think Xillia and Xillia two would be a great addition to steam. They don't need remakes, I would just say a simple port is good enough for them. Since, these two games feel.. complete.
What takes them so long?
Tales of Berseria wasn't too bad (it wasn't great either), and I'll probably get another "Tales" game eventually. However, that's where the "don't care" comes in: I don't care whether it's a remake of something they did before, or a new game. For me, it would be a new game anyway...
I don't know how much money you save if you remake a game, but the audience will most likely be smaller as well. After all, if you've already played the game, why buy it again?
Take Final Fantasy 7 Remake for example, or Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2. Tales of Hearts R, Tales of Destiny DC, Resident Evil 2, the list goes on and on.
All of those games were tremendously improved in some way by their remakes and they still sold or will sell very well, if not better than the original.
But yeah, the more "Tales of" officially released on PC, the better.
Oh, you mean some of the PS1 games that cost 200 dollars I would love to try those but I can't afford it at $200 so Im up for a classic pack
Bandai Namco here tales of symphonia for the 50th time.
