how am i supposed to fight with magilou?
she is useless when i pull 2 enemys on the world map to get a tougher fight. enemys just gang up on her and she dies, i tried to control her and use the aoe attacks that she has but you cant chain them indefinetly and her soulbreaker is useless, i think it reduces her casttime? but even half casttime of a malak arte is more then enough time for the mobs to kill me so all she can do is run away...

so how to play her?

Use crown fire as soon as possible to get the arte attack damage boost, place mines to punish enemies that get too close, and use her break soul to interrupt enemy spell casting. Magilou is mostly an anti mage, and is strong against enemies weak to fire or water.

She is only OP against enemy
with magic casters. Her Break soul does not reduce cast time. Her break soul is able to absorb enemy magic spells before they are being casted. It slowly fills up a green bar and is able to trigger very powerful magic artes.

I'm pretty sure it does reduce cast time actually, simply because having more moves in the same combo will reduce casting time.

well in german version the description of the skill says "reduces cast time and interupts enemy spellcasters" no word about absorbing, in english version they dont say it reduces cast time at all?

The description says it increases ally casting speed, but I've never seen anyone explain how or if that actually works.

I haven't really used her much except to mess with her Break Soul. It's actually crazy overpowered, but like people have said it's really situational. In areas with a lot of enemy spell casters you can basically just spam her break soul to finish the battle almost instantly with the free spells you get from stopping enemy casting.

I've also seen a lot of people recommend Spirit Drop spam to get some stuns and souls, then Break Soul to continue the combo and chain it into crown fire and explosions or whatever. But you have to be careful not to get targetted because you'll get staggered or stunned really easy if youre casting the same thing over and over.

I would not recommend spirit drop spam. Instead, put it as the first move in a combo so you can use it after 3 guard charges to get a bunch of souls.

Yeah, that's more or less what it says in the english version as well. The break soul is called "Spell Absorber," though "absorb" isn't said in the description. You interrupt 2 or 3 spells with it (and you don't even have to target the enemy casting the spell either), and Magilou will unleash a powerful arte.
