Mastering equipment
I'm playing on moderate difficulty. Is it necessary to master all equipment skills? I've only got my last party member, but grade drinding is already tedious, since I don't get Berseria's combat and usually get 1-1,5 grade per normal battle 2-2,5 if one of my characters used MA and around 13 if I managed to spawn Dire Foe.

Once there's a second ship (spoiler, if give anymore info), you'll have enough $$ to purchase weapons/ other. It is important to have your team begin to master their weapons & other items as soon as possible. When you click on it, you'll see a golden star & the word mastered, to the right of the item. At that time move, them to another similar item in the drop down list. Items will blink in the list, when they have been mastered. When this happens, of course you'll need to dismantle excess & enhance your inventory as your able.
You will get weapon drops/ etc even on moderate.
Everyone here is really helpful, keep coming back to the boards with your questions.
The next best thing to playing Berseria is talking about it.

Mastering equipment is not necessary, but it is quite helpful because of the permanent boosts if gives to the characters. You can also choose to carry over equipment mastery to NG+ in the Grade shop if you decide to do a 2nd playthrough, so getting all that Grade can be helpful for purchasing the things you want to carry over with that Grade from the shop as well (and since Grade = equipment mastery, you're killing 2 birds with one stone by mastering your equipment).

It's not necessary to progress the game, though, especially if you're not planning to play on harder difficulties, where the boosts can make a little bit more of a difference..
