Can you change the characters' outfits?(specifically Velvet)

Just watched an lper play this game for a bit and it seemed all right. I'm looking into buying the game but my only issue is that Velvet's default looks really bad to me. Its trying to be so edgy and sexy at the same time it just ends up looking juvinile to me. Are their options in the base game to change outfits or are you stuck with the default look like in Symphonia?

velvet gets a couple alternatives unlock faily early on (and the edgy/sexy one is actually the third one she gets - starting outfit is more of a normal person look)

dagger-dood gets an alternative that ditches his shoulder thing shortly after joining.

after that, it'll be awhile until you see any more.

So you prefer playing with 14 yo kids, since you mentioned Symphonia? Stop being so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ judgmental and buy the game already.
Also, on a side note, in Symphonia you can change outfits as well.

The number is limited and they all are bad. There's her basic oufit, dirty basic outfit, silly village girl costime from prologue and stupid cat costume which is mostly the same for everyone else. later you can get some plain swimsuit (because fancy one is DLC only), another less restrective version of her basic outfit and waitress outfit. Neither fits her at all honestly.

If you want some fancier outfits (and cool hairstyles) you have to spend money on DLC. Her pirate costume is pretty good (they all are) and fits the theme.

In Symphonia, you can get certain titles from some sidequests late game. These special titles changes their costume when equipped. Each character also get a title when you start NG+. All of those title features costumes of other characters from different Tales games.
