BGM Costumes (Fixed)
How do you get them to work? The icon is lit up, I only have on equiped at a time to be sure but the battle music is always the same no matter which one I equip. What am I doing wrong? or is it broken?

EDIT: Not sure how I got them fixed but after tring to resolve a crashing error I am having with another steam game, and not succeeding, some how my BGM costumes are working now. :D

The only thing I can think of is that you may be in the area that has the battle music you're getting from the specific BGM costume you're equipping. In case it's Velvet you're equipping them on, I believe her BGM costumes are all variations of the main battle theme (but don't quote me on that). The other BGM costumes are more easily distinguishable from the regular battle theme.

For the BGM costumes, You can only have one active for the music. I know there is an option to turn off the BGM of a costume. So pick a costume a character has equip and want to hear and turn off the BGM for the others you might have equip on other characters.

Those costume music are not background music, they are battle music. You have to enter a battle to listen to it

Oh. My bad. I guess I don't have the BGM costumes yet. Been a while since I last played.

Thank to all that responded. *high five*

I'd like to also add that I have turned off all other sounds so that the battle music can be more clearly heard to make sure I wasn't just hearing wrong. I've also tried googling but no one else seems to be having the same problem. Maybe something wrong with my install or something I don't know. I don't have a reliable net connection, and it took me over two weeks to download so maybe something got corrupted in that time frame.

I've been testing mostly with Magilou since my friend said I'd know for sure if hers was working. I have tried them all on in battles in the same area, with all the current BGM costumes I have, one at a time.

As I stated in my orginial post, I've made sure to only equip one at a time and made sure the yellow note was yellow and even tried while the note wasn't to be sure. I did fudge up writing "one at a time" though, so maybe that's where you got lost.

Yes, "The battle music is always the same no matter which one I equip" as I originally said. :P

You're not obligated to use them if you don't want to. :P

Is that what the musical icons are next to some of my costumes? They just change the music? Like how they do in Persona 5's DLC costumes?

Yeah. They change the battle music, and that's all. If it seems like it doesn't change, it's likely changing to battle music that is already being played for your battles in the area or point in the story anyway. Easiest difference to notice is Eleanor's exorcist costume, which changes it to the appropriate theme. Only one active at one time, as others have already mentioned.

Until I figure out how to get them working at all, I am avoiding purchasing any other ones for now.
