This is what I'm talking about actually. You need to push a button to make the characters proceed to talk even further. This is kind of vexing because as I said it's hard to keep a track of characters when they are talking really fast and you miss a lot in that way if you are slow reader like me. I wonder why did they decided to remove this feature where you can control the conversation of the characters in skits manually.
yeah I knew what you meant, I think they have it that way so that the conversations seem more natural, although you can pause it but I think the pause menu might show up over the dialogue (not sure)
I see what you're saying, personally I'm fine with skits because I think the point of them is to be more casual conversations while the actual story outside skits usually lets you progress through text whenever you'd like
no problem
I'm assuming he's using the japanese voices
However and then again wish there was an option that would let you made the conversation of characters automated or control the flow of what they are speaking in the options menu.
I often wonder why a niche developer/publisher fairly consistently includes this, and yet bigger titles don't, as it's really just a convenience option for the player and it doesn't really impact the game or the dialogues themselves.
Similarly, those game have an auto-skip that fast forwards the dialogues at a speed you can't even read without having to press start and select skip at every scene change, ideal for those on new game+ and those that just don't care about story at all.
I guess I'm fortunate enough to read at a speed that's faster than the character's audio, but it would be nice if those things were implemented more widely as convenience tools.
