confused about geoboard use.

I am trying to get to Eastern Galles for the ancient remedy side quest. There is a huge gap in the terrain I assume I need to jump with the geo board but the game won t let me use it. Why is this?

unless there is blue circles, it's not a jumpable point

If you havent touched the geo-tree in the area, you cant use the geoboard there

You have backward a few steps, then use the geoboard to jump over the huge gap.

First you have to unlock the geotree. To jump over the gaps you have to have a "running start". You can't be up against the ledge and have to start at least a few inches back.

Also for the record(don't read if ya want to figure it out yourself), You get to the Eastern side of Galles through the Aldina Plains. Danann Highway -> Aldina Plains, then go directly north. You'll end up on the Eastern side.

I failed to realize that you have to "attune" the area in order to use the board. that clears up the confusions for me. thanks

yea, they tell you everything in the tutorial I think. You can access it anytime in the main menu.
