Final Boss Rematch Help (Spoilers)
So I am nearly ready to start my second playthrough of the game. I always start on normal, then start a second playthrough on Hard or higher. Anyways I am done with The Heavenly Steppes and am in the middle of fighting the final boss again. The only issue is he now resists every element and the only attack I can use to hit a weakness is Velvet's Defiant Conviction. No on else has an arte that hits People besides Velvet so I can't reliably stunlock him and he hits like a damn truck. I am level 108-110 and he is level 126 which isn't a difficult gap. If I can't beat Deific Artorius with that level gap how the heck did I beat Powered up Duke in Vesperia xD

Try with enhanced rank 21 gear I would say, as it boosts you quite a bit.

I mean, you did beat the boss that unlocks something that lets you get tons of enhance materials way easier than before, and you are going against the only boss that is supposed to pose half a threat to a level 200 team.

I would suggest going for a heavy "reflect"-based gear (the basic reflect of course, but there is also a skill to heal for a percentage of what you reflected) and/or using items (all divide makes the fight take ages, but you also have items that give souls and BG, in case you don't mind using them).

That boss definitely is a cheap one though, so good luck not raging before putting him on simple or grinding for more levels and gear.

Thanks for the insight. Unfortunately I am barely getting any Reflect gear, must be from playing on Normal most of the time. I eventually chessed the fight by using an hourglass whenever he used Soul Render and I popped an all divide in his final soul burst because he can Mystic every 3 combos there which is bull. I used all 6 of my Soul Bottles, all 10 of my Arcane bottles, all my life bottles (Eleanor and Eizen spent alot of time reviving) and most of my gels and elixers. I had to switch tactics around so Eleanor and Laphichet were dedicated healers and only Eizen and Roukouro were set to be agressive (I had Eizen at 800+ Attack and Focus). Magilou was set to mostly defensive. I used alot of switch blasts and spent alot of time as Velvet kiting this bastard around while every healed and while KO'ed characters regened. It took me 30 minutes x.x Not a challenge, merely an annoyance. Hell the dragons in the EX dungeon were better bosses then the final rematch :P
