I really enjoy his way of Life
His love for her sister
But I prefer laphichet Evolution for Velvet
On the plus side, his soul break teleports him across the map and targets without needing to target manually, and if you can get into a good rythm with a good combo to replenish souls in between, be actually is one of the heaviest damage dealers against normal mobs, constantly using his break every 3-4 fairly quick attacks.
It also makes his second mystic arte incredibly easy to use when you get rolling (and his third too if/when you get it).
He also has a spell that's really quick to cast that teleports him to his target (wind step), letting him easily go back into the fray if/when needed, or going to protect an ally with it.
Against bosses it's a bit trickier as you can't even use a "blank" soul break for health if no enemy is stunned or down, and he can't use the usual "soul break to evade the enemy's soul break", but he does have some decent spells and a few fairly long range attacks to keep him from always going to the bench for bosses.
All in all, he definitely feels like an anti-mobs rather than anti-bosses, a bit like Eleonore, but more oriented towards killing than disrupting.
Rokurou is the best bossfighting character in the game by a massive margin. He is not reliant on stuns like Eizen or endless comboing (which can be broken) like Velvet. He is a duelist. His parry and his mobility mean that skillful use of him can make any boss fight easy.
That said, Eizen can work on bosses if they don't resist every single stun. He can also sit back and buff people and cast spells on the boss that they are weak to, meaning it will start a chain that will cause everyone else to do more damage.
I already considered Eizen same role or position in the strategy to Eleanor even in Demo, the default strategy of Eizen is same with Eleanor.
Rokurou is the most fun playing against boss at highest difficulty. He is the best of anti-boss character, this close combat specialist or duelist can nullify or reflect everything with his Break Soul, overpower.
