My thoughts about Eizen
Going into this game, I already knew we'd have Eizen in our party. Knowing what happened to him in Zestiria made me sad, just like everyone else, but for me it was worse...The more I got to know him, and the more I got to like him, the sadder I became.

Not only for him, but for Edna too. It was like a double sadness. My own despondence at his transformation combined with my empathy for Edna's feelings.

But something changed. The more I got to play him and know him and see him, the more sad I'd get for him, as I already stated. However, at the same time, I began to get happier. How? Because of Eizen.

Nearly his entire character is about accepting yourself. Accepting who you are, and accepting your fate. Taking your life the way it is, and grabbing the wheel and guiding it to wherever you see fit until its inevitable end.

And it got me thinking, that it can't be a coincidence that the character that we hurt so deeply for, who is doomed by an inevitable event, is also the one that says not to worry about such things, and to be brave in the face of fate.[i.ytimg.com]

Basically, his character in his own way is telling you "it's okay." And it's not until I realized this that I stopped being sad.[s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com]

Eizen is the one who cheered me up about Eizen.

I cannot even begin to praise the writers to a degree in which they deserve. Can you?

His character is amazing, I loved it (and the way he was dubbed in English).

Eizen is cool, like others characters
I really enjoy his way of Life
His love for her sister
But I prefer laphichet Evolution for Velvet

I liked his character, but his fighting seems weak. I think he has too low defense.

His fighting is not weak, but it's definitely a bit weird, as he heavily relies on stuns and downs (his own and his allies').
On the plus side, his soul break teleports him across the map and targets without needing to target manually, and if you can get into a good rythm with a good combo to replenish souls in between, be actually is one of the heaviest damage dealers against normal mobs, constantly using his break every 3-4 fairly quick attacks.

It also makes his second mystic arte incredibly easy to use when you get rolling (and his third too if/when you get it).

He also has a spell that's really quick to cast that teleports him to his target (wind step), letting him easily go back into the fray if/when needed, or going to protect an ally with it.

Against bosses it's a bit trickier as you can't even use a "blank" soul break for health if no enemy is stunned or down, and he can't use the usual "soul break to evade the enemy's soul break", but he does have some decent spells and a few fairly long range attacks to keep him from always going to the bench for bosses.

All in all, he definitely feels like an anti-mobs rather than anti-bosses, a bit like Eleonore, but more oriented towards killing than disrupting.

His defense is very low. I used every defense herb I can find on him. I play him a mix between melee and caster so having less inherent defense than Malakicet was not in my best interest.

Rokurou is the best bossfighting character in the game by a massive margin. He is not reliant on stuns like Eizen or endless comboing (which can be broken) like Velvet. He is a duelist. His parry and his mobility mean that skillful use of him can make any boss fight easy.

That said, Eizen can work on bosses if they don't resist every single stun. He can also sit back and buff people and cast spells on the boss that they are weak to, meaning it will start a chain that will cause everyone else to do more damage.
you look like you are talking about your waifu.

I already considered Eizen same role or position in the strategy to Eleanor even in Demo, the default strategy of Eizen is same with Eleanor.
Rokurou is the most fun playing against boss at highest difficulty. He is the best of anti-boss character, this close combat specialist or duelist can nullify or reflect everything with his Break Soul, overpower.
