What you can do is initiate a chain with a Dual Mystic Arte and chain a Dual Mystic Arte by chaining into either Eizen/Rokurou (with the other as sub) or Eleanor/Magilou (with the other as sub).
Basically as long as you start with a dualMA game will let you utilize dualMAs in the chain as long as the regular requirements are met - one partner on the field, one partner as a sub (both having 5 BG). Anyone who either doesn't have a dualMA yet or whose partner is listed as a sub will utilize a regular MA (following the start-MA1-MA2-MA2-MA3... format iirc).
If you manipulate your party in the right fashion you should be able to utilize all 3 dMAs in a chain, I suppose. I haven't actually tried that.
So, start off with a single MA, and you can only get singles.
Start off with a dual MA and as long as you meet the requirements, you'll get dual MAs being used instead of singles.
Purely speculation, but my idea was exactly what LeeSiuLoong says up above here. Chain your first dMA into the 2nd dMA, then perform a regular MA on the 3rd char, perform a regular MA on a subcharacter, and then perform the 3rd dMA after by chaining to the fourth character as its partner is now on the sub state.
Or to make it a bit more visual with an example:
dMA between Velvet + Laphicet (leaves 4 BG on each),
chain to Eizen
dMA between Eizen + Rokurou (leaves 4 BG on each),
chain to Eleanor,
singular MA2 (leaves 5 BG)
at this point:
chain to Rokurou,
singular MA2 (leaves 0 BG),
at this point:
chain to Magilou,
dMA between Magilou + Eleanor (leaves 4BG on Magilou, 0 BG on Eleanor)
Remaining BG:
Velvet 4
Laphicet 4
Magilou 4
Eizen 4
Rokurou 0
Eleanor 0
I actually don't have a save at the moment that I can use to try this with, hence the bolded part in my original post.
