The "point" is for people that want to reach max level without spending 500 hours grinding the last floor of the EX dungeon, for those that want a fresh run in chaos from the start, for those that want to feel nearly broken level of powerful with all the boosts active.
What bothers me the most isn't so much the catz chests or the map markers being wiped but the fact that you keep the geo-board's item, but you can't actually use it until you unlock it in the story.
If you don't feel like x6 experience and the likes are worth it for having to redo everything, it's a valid choice to actually not do it, as it is technically not required for anything.
The best part of being on PC is that there are ways to cheat in single player games if you feel that the game isn't fun enough for you as it is.
If you pay for a single player game where you have no way of influencing the enjoyment of other players, it's completely fair to cheat and make it more fun for you.

I have everything. Literally everything maxed till Rarity 17. Hell, with DLC I was level 128, easily cruising through the Dungeon EX. I just wanted to try to get the bonus from level of Titles and the 3x extra exp.
