Report a translation problem
Go to the controller options, the "player 1" option should now have arrows next to it to switch to the configuration of player 2 (and 3-4 if there are enough controllers detected, including virtual ones like vjoy).
Configure the second player by setting the right controller for it.
Go back to the menu, go to Artes of the second character from the Left, set it to semi-auto or manual (it is for the slot, not the character, same as the first slot for player 1).
It worked fine like that for me (both for vjoy to fix the bug and when I had someone to play the second player).
