You can easily cheat the Expedition System on PC Version? Did you know this?
I don't think I'm the first to discover this but I may be one of the firsts to post it. If you want to get an instant Expedition Result (Skip the 30 Minute Wait)... All you have to do is start a new Expedition and then adjust your computers time to 30 minutes in the future. And bingo you get your rewards instantly. I'm not going to use this cheat until later post game or on New Game Plus. But hey for those of you who are interested have fun.

I accidentally found this out when I was trying to modify the games memory values and I was unable to hack the Expedition timer. Then I realized I could not hack it because the game has no timer at all. It just checks if 30 minutes has passed in real life.

Pretty neat. It's basically programming 101 to use system time for passage, which is fine for a single player game, I guess.

Fun fact: the Diablo 3 auction house was also "programmed" this way, before everyone exploited it to expire their unsold auctions faster. I put it in quotes, because I'm pretty sure it was actually made out of uncooked spaghetti.

Wow that's NOT good for an MMO. Well D3 not really a MMO? I basically consider it one though.

if people want to cheat in a singleplayer games, they will.

So thats why the programmer just used system time, no point in wasting time to prevent system clock cheating.

You can do the same crap in several games and apparently this is also possible on the PS4 version

I am rather sure this would be the same for PS4 just with PS4 system clock - so same stuff with those too but is a lot of pain for something quite small. I enjoy the fact that when you save and come back to the game you also have expedition done - but I am not willing to cheat at it especially using my computer clock for that - it is very crucial to keep that thing in right time...

Yeah, I don't like the entire expedition system (I just don't like time gates in general) and found out you could skip it about 5 minutes after unlocking it. Although, abusing this would definitely destroy early-game. (There's an item off the last expedition that's worth 30k, and drops frequently).
