I Cant select player 2 on the the controll options screen

I have my 360 controller in, and a ps3 controller, and i can switch between them, but the game wont let me change player 2's controller, the buttons where it says player 1 do nothing, do i have to unlock multiplayer through the story?

System > Control Settings, then Select Player 1 and select what controller Player 1 will use and bind the keys, do the same with Player 2.
Once you configured each controller, go to the Ars menu and have a second character configured to be Manual or Semi-auto (Auto are for the AI to control). Since you have 2 characters with Manual or Semi-auto control, the second controller (Player 2) will control that character. Also, you can change what character each one will control, you can do that outside the battle or while in battle in real time.

The issue is, i cant select player 2, theres no player 2,3, or 4 when I i click the arrows where it says player 1.

Chances are your second controiler is either not plugged in correctly, or third-party/unrecognized.

no the game sees both cnotrolers, and i can use them in zesteria for multiplayer

THANK YOU, I COULDN'T FIGURE THIS OUT FOR THE LIFE OF ME. Damn you Bamco, why you gotta make it more complicated than usual.
