Can someone explain how vjoy works? It's clashing with my own controller now.
Topic. I'm not too savvy about these third party programs so I have no idea what i'm looking at, all I know is that ever since I installed it, it's interfering with my own ps4 controller now, camera angle goes up and I have no clue how to enable players 2-4 with it.

Could someone write me up a small tutorial ish thing on how to do this?

It keeps telling me to restart my computer now but i'm not too keen on doing that.

I'm just trying to work this out myself. From what I can tell you need to make sure the "configuration" program is selected during the vjoy install. after that, run it and you'll see that there are numbered tabs at the top of the menu that represent the virtual controllers. 1 will be enabled by default. You need to click on 2, 3 and 4 and choose add device on each one.

Once thats done, go into the game;s controller menu and set player 2, 3 and 4 to "vjoy" controller. It should work now.

I figured out as much by now, but it's still interfering with my own controller, which isn't set (in game) to vjoy, but rather to ''wireless controller'' as it's a ps4 controller.

But the camera keeps tilting up. How can I disable 1 in Vjoy? Because I assume that's the problem. If I disable vjoy, it's for all of them.

Nevermind. I dunno how, but I got it to work. >.> It's working as intended, I think. Ty.

Well in vjoy I have the device for the 1st slot turned off. Then in game, I used my keyboard to go back to the ''wireless controller'' settings. That seemed to work for me.

Make sure not to add device in the 1st slot in vjoy.

Try going into vjoy and unbinding all the emulated controllers

For me, I was able to just use the first 3 emulated controllers in vjoy, using a DS3, and I had no issues with it clashing with my controller.

I got the right stick going down thing too, but it only lasted until I had set all the players up to use the respective VJoy controllers.

This doesnt seem to work with a xbox one controller as far as I can tell, and even attempting to mess with vjoy trying to get my controller to be recognized caused it to crash the audio driver...

If you install the xbone controller driver from a download it seems to fix whatever conflict is going on and allow you to use the controller and vjoy at the same time. No idea why it works though.

For me it worked just fine, enabled the first 3 devices in vjoy, set axis to X Y Z only, force feedback off and no POV button, buttons 8 and this worked no matter whether my controller was connected. I only even connected it (Steam controller via steamlink) while streaming, and the game worked fine with that. Now steam obviously overrides the internal device functionality of the OS pretty hard, so maybe that is why it works.

It's really a strange bug and an even stranger fix.

But yeah, bad drivers /audio and controller alike\ will have problems with randomly appearing oddly named and oddly behaving virtual controllers. Until I heard of vjoy yesterday, I didn't even know such an application existed, or why I would ever want it.

I have the xbox one wireless usb adapter. If I run that and then enable vjoy, it doesn't work. However, if I enable vjoy, and:

1. remove the Xbox Wireless Adapter (via device manager / network adapters) without removing the driver software; and
2. unplug the adapter and plug it back in, allowing the driver to reinstall - it works!

Thank F!, Ok so for those of you using xbox one controllers follow these steps

1: Install Vjoy
2: Run the Configure Vjoy app
3: Tab 2 on the program should be on(green), click on 3 and click add device, click on 4 and add device
4: Go to control panel -> Devices/printers
5: Right click your controller and remove device
6: unplug your controller and plug it back in
7: start up Berseria and go to the controller setup and set the extra players to the vjoy inputs as well you should be able to select your controller for player 1.

Sadly, it does overwrite your button layout. x.x I use the mod so it shows the playstation button layout, but as soon as I used vjoy to bypass the fail AI, it shows me the buttons 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 etc instead of square, X, circle etc.
