The game starts and detects the controller as a Xbox controller, but the joysticks and the directional pad doesn't work properly. Moving R or the directional pad does nothing, and moving L only lets me move Velvet, but not the selection (even in the in-game menu).
Tried to reinstall drivers and even to configure a controller from Big Picture Mode on Steam but nothing works.
Don't use steam controller setups if you're using an x-input wrapper already. It will only cause a conflict.
Look for the "scpmonitor" app and see if they controller is showing up in that. If you're on windows 7, you'll also need the fixed 360 controller drivers from the 360 accessories software on microsoft's site (not needed for 8.1/10)
Not with a ps3 pad. Unlike the ds4 (which is picked up as d-input without a wrapper) the ds3 pad has no support whatsoever in games.
I've used scpserver and ds4windows and my ds4's been picked up fine.
Just chacked it and it shows me "Pad One: DS3 [MAC address] - Usb 0000xxxx Charged". I think
Just checked it and it shows me "Pad One: DS3 [MAC address] - Usb 0000xxxx Charged" and I'm on W10, so it should work perfectly as it does in my other games on steam.
I tried to connect and configure an old pc controller i have and now it works so I suppose the issue is related to xinput method. I don't really know much about this all but now it works.
Anyways, thanks for helping!
To be honest, it was so much of a hassle that I just gave up. I didn't even finish the game I was so frustrated with it. I got my PS3 controller to read, but then it would just randomly uninstall the drivers and stop reading the controller mid-game.
