This game now uses TyranoBuilder as an engine. I'm a little limited by the available features. However in the future, yes I'd like to include these in an update.
And a silly question: Did you investigate ren'py for the engine?
In regards to Ren'Py, I'm more than familiar with the program. It's a great tool. I don't wish to derail the thread too much, but there are a couple of reasons why I chose Tyranobuilder over it in the end.
And in the style I am <ahem> renowned for, some wording issues:
After the movie: Ami: "It's so frustrating! I she only cares about Dad..." Maybe "It's like she only cares..."?
"Girl at school can be horrible." Try "Girls".
Lise: "There's also a romanstic sub plot." Apart from the obvious typo, subplot actually is one word in this context.
Ria: "Everyone there is so hung on on competing." Try "hung up on"?
Ria: "And mine is comfortable damnit!" While the jury is still out on the spelling of this word, survey seems to be leaning towards "dammit".
After the game got played. Lise: "Whereas some actually wanted to learn more about code." Previous sentence was talking about events, so "whereas," which links, doesn't belong. Try "Some club members" instead.
Enough for now?
Chazz, thanks for the typo pointers. The broken sentences are leftovers from the previous version, I thought I'd caught them all but alas, apprently not.
In regards to text transitions, it's something I need to play around with. It may be able to be fixed by displaying a blank box with a space before screen transitions, but it'll require some experimentation my side :)
Lise mentions "the Diamon Doge clan" -- typo.
Starla's line "Can I? Thanks, Ami!" is attributed to Ami.
And in the "I don't really know" branch there's mention of "cargirl ninjas" which creates some rather odd imagery.
Edit: One more. Eiko's first day, afternoon, the speech "Okay, Eiko, got all that?" and the one following are attributed to Eiko.
And a question. After that "afternoon" stretch, the next pink transition panel says "Morning", but we then seem to see the fairgrounds in the evening. Is that the wrong transition? Or are we at Sunday already?
Okay, thanks. That works. There is only one other thing that I see after I used the full button; there doesn't seem to be a way to close the game properly if you use the full button. I had to click it again and then use the close button on the window. Just thought I'd let you know since some people might be a bit more rude in telling you this. I had no problem with doing it the way I did, though.
Ami's line at the fair: "Okay, but don't be surprised if I scream, okay?" is attributed to Eiko.
And it looks like save slots 4 and 5 don't work. Several times I tried to save to the two bottom slots, and while the menu closed and I went back to the game, when I went back to my saves those two slots were still empty.
KillerOreo, thanks for letting me know. I'll see if functionality exists for alternate ways to terminate the program.
