Favorite Drone Builds?

I've been away from the game for a while, and am just getting back in the saddle. I'm curious about how other people use drones.

I tend to use standard drones as fighters. Interceptor missiles on drones can be hilariously effective against swarm and drones. Typically I combine the interceptor missile with a gun based PD to deal with missiles and torps.

I use heavy drones as bombers. I remember not being as picky about the weapons on the heavies, but enjoying Phasers and AP guns.

What about the rest of y'all?

I've never used them. Other than the obligatory drones on Morrigi ships.

The handful of times I have used drones I literally just equipped them with the biggest weapon I had.

I remember doing emitters a few times for a specific reason... but can't remember what that reason was these days.

I mostly don't use them because I found it a pain to keep track and control them.

I don't use them because the few times I tried they were grossly ineffective. Even when armed with Pulse Phasers. When I fight an enemy that uses them I cheer. I shoot their drones down in seconds. This leaves a largely unarmed ship drone carrier.
