Resolution forced to 4096x2160 on 4K Display
Hi,

Am running a 4K display (3840x2160) and yet every time the game boots, it forces me in to Windowed Borderless, and 4096x2160.

Further to that, I only get two Full Screen options: Windowed Borderless, or Windowed. There is no Fullscreen/Exclusive Fullscreen option.
On top of THAT, there's only one resolution setting: 4096x2160. I cannot scroll or select anything else.

I've tried all manner of forcing resolution changes in the GameUserSettings.ini. Forced resolution, forced Fullscreen mode to 0. Nothing seems to help.

Am running an MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 2080Ti, Win10Pro, all the latest updates, drivers etc.

Same issue happens when I launch the default game, and in DX12 with or without RTX. Interestingly, I DO get fullscreen and resolution options when launching in DX11, however I bought this game to play with RTX... so that's not a fix for me.

Any ideas?

Hi Nannou,

Sadly you are the victim of two issues. Firstly, we were forced to disable the fullscreen option when playing in Dx12. Secondly, the resolution being stuck is part of 4k support which. For now I can only offer that we'll implement/fix this in a future patch.

Thanks for the clarification. I can wait a little longer for the res fix. Windowed Borderless isn't a big deal, so long as it's not messing with performance :)

Just confirming i have this bug too

To be fair i was actually impressed with the performance @ 4096x2160 with everything on max and DLSS quality setting. Its mostly locked at 60 fps but i rather be running at my screens native 3840x2160 res.

This won't fix all the resolution issues, but if you follow the guide here, you can delete the 4096 resolution completely, it only takes a minute.

I have a whole bunch of other issues trying to get it running at 1080p, but at least now I can just set the render resolution to 50% to get 1080p.

Nearly a year later and you still haven’t done this.
