I can give you some tips like get used to the rolling dodge mechanic (it gives you invincibility during the roll) and use the healing Bellflower item more often for survivability. A lot of this game is about learning the enemy's patterns and placement in the zones and playing carefully to clear the way until the next checkpoint.
Hopefully that helps a bit.
If you are not used to this kind of difficulty, or you prefer something that lets you focus on more on the exploration aspect of the game, there's an easier difficulty option. It starts you with much more health, defense and items that regenerate your HP.
Other than this, all I can say is that I'm sorry you're not having a good time. Hope my tips will help a little if you decide to keep trying the game.
Cheers
That's completely understandable. While I've moved away from that style and my current projects are variations on Momodora RUTM's style, I'm aware that it's a shift to something different that not everyone is going to like the same way.
I can't promise you anything about the future, but maybe one day!
Thanks for sharing your opinion, and I hope you'll give Momodora RUTM another try.
Cheers
On Easy mode you start with the maxed health bar of the full game, plus a passive item that reduces by half the damage taken. Could you verify for me if you have an item called "Adorned Ring" in your "Equipment" menu? That item only exists in the Easy difficulty, for example.

My intent is not to stress you out. I apologize. I'm currently worried if there might be some sort of glitch in the game that is affecting the values, based on your comment that there's hardly a difference between Hard and Easy. However, I will not ask you anything else.
Once again, my apologies.
Cheers
Is that happening even after you go into the Settings menu and selecting fullscreen from the Resolution option?
hit alt enter. works for me to go into full screen. 99 per cent of the time when games launch in window mode, it works to hit alt enter.
cheers
