You can technically allow her to "live" by not interacting with her by the end of the game. If you do talk to her though, she dies regardless.
Or if you dont want to change her fate, can we hope for a DLC or new game with her as protagonist? A prequel about her?
Will be like the new Hollow Knight game. Silksong. A new game using the same game engine but with Hornet, a Npc/Boss enemy in the original game, as protagonist.
While Cath is cool, she also has such precious little screentime and so few abilities explained that it'd probably make more sense for rdein to just make a new momodora than have her featured. Morever, momodora is a series that has death as a MAJOR theme and expectation- Cath coming back to life would undermine that. It's not unrealistic to expect her spirit to appear in the future, but she probably wouldn't be the focus.
Of course, I'm not rdein, and it's their choice to do whatever they want- I'd play a game with Cath in it.
