Special Weapons VS Ordinary Weapons
So I thought I'd start this thread because I'm curious about the special weapons and how much of a difference they make.
I found the Warden's fist "pride" and apart from the title and the shimmer being yellow, I didn't notice any difference when I compared it to the regular Warden's Fist, other than one of the purple level upgrades on the Pride version was already filled in. Are these differences just cosmetic or is there something I missed? What are the other weapon's titles and is there major differences for them?

I considered it when I realised the amount of info there but I'd likely just copy and paste that then forget to update it or anything lol
I'm not knowledgeable (I only realised the other day we can upgrade stuff, I thought all the upgraded stuff was random drops only lmao) I just got caught up in getting the info from the weapons, was going to see difference in upgrades of armour and the module things but it's on hold while I try a more difficult run

Alright then leo, do you mind if I make a guide with your info? I will credit you and everyone who contributed info of course.

Awesome summary, thank you!
I've been playing on melee only the past few times, and it makes the end state a lot more interesting. Of course, the absence of Dark Seekers (I miss them so much) means the final test cant be compared, but the riots +Wrath is a blast.
The ranged weapons ultimately make the game trivial IMO. I'm not sure how to find the balance for that though... perhaps more enemies shooting back.

Shortage of energy makes the use of upgraded versions harder. Also i don't see a hotkey for energy cells in the options.

Yeah anyone can do what they want with it.
Depending on time when back from vacation might look at starting bits to the wiki or something so it's more accessible to people

Alright Leo, I'll get a crack on it later today if I can, :)

Do the upgraded/special weapons use more or less energy as normal ones, or the same?

Just wondering because even the warden fist seems to use a lot of energy... Took out a couple of enemies and my reserve was very low afterwards.

I'm not sure how you are supposed to use weapons without running out of energy and spare batteries super quickly. Even the weapon which I assumed would use solid ammo (the crossbow) uses energy.

The 4 button

The normal versions have nodes to reduce energy usage, sins feel like they're more damage output with no strategy orientated.

Depending which equipment you use depends on your energy pool too, it feels like the energy regen one has been slowed down or I remembered the speed wrong from before, atm the large one seems the best option.

After a while you'll likely end up with loads of batteries anyway

I can't remember buttons but didn't know there was one for batteries, just weapons and quick heal
dgresevfan 30 ABR 2020 a las 14:19
How do you CARRY all those batteries? I don't have that much space to keep carrying everything I find but until I have turrets I don't feel safe setting up the larger stuff in a base camp.

Build your base in safe areas where enemies can't spawn, like on the roof of Natura cafe in oasis (my favorite spot - the one with a recycler), so you won't need turrets and there is plenty of room for storage. There are also few pre-built containers there, which is useful in the beginning.

Energy is basically infinite if you utilize and fully upgrade a Chondrial Converter. Later, you can get Regenerative Tissue (Genome Points) to complete the loop, but until then -- selling loot and buying Med/Supra Hypos can sustain the health draw relatively easily.

Someone asked about a hotkey for Energy Cells -- on keyboard it's "R" while you have your Fore/Dorsal weapon out (Hold Right-Click) -- It's called "Reload" and will automatically pop your lowest level energy cell (There is no cooldown so, unless necessary -- try not to double tap it in a panic).

As for the inventory space question, IVG storage upgrades are abundant throughout the map -- but I got mine from combat (which is why I wanted infinite energy) and kiosks (Using "Mercantile" Genome Upgrade and "Commerce ++" charm for max discounts) -- which is a secondary charm I carry with me.. I don't keep energy cells, and will either use them just to use them, or sell them without a second thought.

In my playthough, the most difficult items to get were Cyano-Tube Repair kits and, to a lesser extenet, Maintenance Keys.. I've found most of mine through combat and kiosks as well. Just be sure to take the Genome upgrade that improves rare drops as soon as you can -- that's a real game changer.

Envy: When "fully" upgraded as seen above by Muldaenas has an effect where the bolt when charging it will have an electrical effect when not fully charged and will have a fire effect when fully charged. This is useful when fighting certain enemies or using the explosive barrels, oil spills and on water puddles allowing you to use them from afar with accuracy.
Gluttony: This one I personally thought wouldn't work but it did and I like it. Gluttony has the effect where it will continually "suck" (charge) as long as you have energy for the shot this "sucking" will actually suck up enemy projectiles and increase the power of your shot when fired. This effect gave it a much larger blast and damage, where it would take 3-4 shots now took 2-3 and knocked down all the enemies within the blast. Last but not least it seems to fire farther but with a little reduced accuracy depending on the range.
Lust: Now this one is tricky and I feel like I'm missing something here but this is what I've found so far. The special states that the Primary fire has more force per shot (can't really tell tbh), now this weapon in all honesty shines best when you are fending off several enemies at once and don't want to use Gluttony for it's AOE (please note that Lust's primary fire has extremely low resonance buildup while Gluttony has a large buildup) all depending on how you fight/flee.
the Lust Surgical Laser fully upgraded is not only more force, but it turns it into a Pulse Laser, firing rapid pulses with no extra buildup on resonance if you hold down the trigger, think of it as a full auto Pulse Laser weapon system, my favorite weapon; especially dealing with the nanite infested enemies as they are particularly vulnerable to fire damage; the machines like the seekers and stalkers the Javelin XT Envy is best as its uncharged shots to electrical; they dont like getting hit with electricity
