Special Weapons VS Ordinary Weapons
So I thought I'd start this thread because I'm curious about the special weapons and how much of a difference they make.
I found the Warden's fist "pride" and apart from the title and the shimmer being yellow, I didn't notice any difference when I compared it to the regular Warden's Fist, other than one of the purple level upgrades on the Pride version was already filled in. Are these differences just cosmetic or is there something I missed? What are the other weapon's titles and is there major differences for them?

So I discovered a second special weapon, "Javelin XT Envy" It's completely non upgraded. Can't tell if it's a cosmetic difference or not.

Some more info. On another thread I saw that the Surgical laser is "Lust", and I found the Kinetic Mortar "gluttony" in a vending machine and did not buy it.

List of weapons and known effects so far:
Warden's Fist "Pride"
Effects:????
Javelin XT "Envy"
Effects: ????
Kinetic Mortar "Gluttony"
Effects: ????
Surgical laser "Lust"
Effects: Fires a Semi Automated beam like a turret (Credit Zeeneck)

Actually, figured out Warden's Fist. The Pride version allows for more frequent strikes than the base version. Very handy.

So I found the Subserverser "Sloth" and it has a type of dart called "Hollow" which greatly weakens the target. I could see this being useful with the AOE upgrade to the subverser.
The Butcher's blade in the vending machine was "Wrath", didn't purchase.

The Javelin "Envy" version will have a special effect. If you fire a bolt that is not charged it will have an electrical effect. A fully charged bolt will have a fire effect. I haven't noticed A difference in damage compared to upgraded standard version.

Hey songofthestray just got back from holiday stuff and saw the shout out thanks! Give me a few hours of testing and I'll get back to you.

Envy: When "fully" upgraded as seen above by Muldaenas has an effect where the bolt when charging it will have an electrical effect when not fully charged and will have a fire effect when fully charged. This is useful when fighting certain enemies or using the explosive barrels, oil spills and on water puddles allowing you to use them from afar with accuracy.
Gluttony: This one I personally thought wouldn't work but it did and I like it. Gluttony has the effect where it will continually "suck" (charge) as long as you have energy for the shot this "sucking" will actually suck up enemy projectiles and increase the power of your shot when fired. This effect gave it a much larger blast and damage, where it would take 3-4 shots now took 2-3 and knocked down all the enemies within the blast. Last but not least it seems to fire farther but with a little reduced accuracy depending on the range.
Lust: Now this one is tricky and I feel like I'm missing something here but this is what I've found so far. The special states that the Primary fire has more force per shot (can't really tell tbh), now this weapon in all honesty shines best when you are fending off several enemies at once and don't want to use Gluttony for it's AOE (please note that Lust's primary fire has extremely low resonance buildup while Gluttony has a large buildup) all depending on how you fight/flee.

I will now state that my favorite is the regular Surgical Laser (I haven't gotten my hands on one sense the update and I hope it hasn't changed much) because:
1. High accuracy.
2. High damage, especially against organic enemies.
3. High burning buildup, works wonders against organic enemies.
4. The burning buildup effects and damages the ... um ... the black and red organics? (do they have a name? You know what I'm going to call them Nano Ghast/Nano Ghasts because they hiss/sizzle and make noise, turn invisible/invulnerable and the flying ones can summon more walking ones.) when they are invisible/invulnerable.
5. Great stun lock.
6. It's mostly silent.
7. Fully upgraded it goes through multiple targets.
So in summary this weapon is great for short bursts to activate the fire damage while staying at a distance so Seekers can kill organics easier. Sniping from afar with a constant beam it's like using the worlds most deadly magnifying glass. With high accuracy as long as your careful you won't hit those you don't want to. Killing the flying Nano Ghasts is a lot easier, especially with the stun lock as it prevents them from using their ranged homing attacks. Hunting enemies that are in the black mist as after you set them on fire you will know exactly where they are and can finish them off easily. And last but not least if you are using the Kinetic Amplifier it makes killing the Seekers and Dark Seekers a walk in the park.

The Kinetic Mortar Gluttony seems to be able to "eat" enemy projectiles and become stronger. There is a node for it inside the upgrade tree. Kind of fits the name.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies/contributions and really sorry for the delay in replying it's been ages and It's my first time playing since the new update.

@Zeeneck They do have a name! The floating ones are Revenants, and the ones that walk are called Shades! The Revenants can also spawn Shades.

Right now I'm running a fully upgraded Envy and Pride.
Having compared the original warden's fist to pride, the speed of pride is almost at the level of speed of normal melee attacks. Very very handy especially with knockback/charge dash.

That said, glutonny sounds really interesting I may take a look at it. So to recap:

Kinetic Mortar- Guttony: Eats projectiles and creates a high damage shockwave.

Subverser- Sloth: Hollow darts, greatly weakens enemies for a temporary amount of time.

Surgical Laser- Lust: Semi automated turret fire (more force w/Primary???)

Warden's Fist, Pride: High RoF, much faster than the base warden's first with a RoF similar to normal melee attacks.

Javelin XT- Envy: When fully maxxed out, when uncharged it shoots electrical arrows and when charged shoots fire arrows.

That means the last two unknown weapon effects are:

Arc Welder - Greed: ????
Butcher's Blade - Wrath: ????

No promises but when I find out what those weapons do I may do up a small guide if I have the time. Big thanks to all of you who responded!

Greed makes enemies drop a random amount of lux on death. been my experience about 25 lux a kill but sometimes you get a jackpot.

@Zerren I could see that one being good for farming then actually. Is there no special effects other than that? Thanks for contributing that I really appreciate it.

That just leaves Wrath then (Butcher's Blade). If I find it I may experiment then and report back here!

GREED gives a higher chance for enemies to drop money

Thanks @Snafu I appreciate that. All we need now is Wrath! :)

I think, (Dont quote me) It increases damage with each swing. Cant really test that without a debug menu. And these things are such a pain to find that its really hard to confirm
