worst mod ever eh?, I do not think I have one but incompatible ones I reckon.

I don't think i've ever tried anything that could be described as the worst factorio mod ever.

I tried a mod pack in MINECRAFT that was absolutely terrible that kinda sortof tried to be "Angels ores in minecraft" but which had horrendous execution with some sort of awful custom anti-cheat script with awful grammar in its error messages that sprang up whenever i tried to look up recipes...but that had NoTHING on a modpack that was apparently a virus.

controversial opinion but angels..
My biggest beef is that it has hundreds of materials and research that are never used.

there are 20 different liquid chemicals that you can research and produce right away that are never used for anything and solid mats have the same issue.

It could be that I am missing something and dont understand. or i missed installing some critical part of the mod tho.

Most of those chemicals are used in alternative, more efficient plastic recipes, though the sheer simplicity of the wood fiber method does tend to result in those not being used.

A lot of the solid mats are alternatives for producing e.g. bio fuel, but sadly it does seem like there's a few too many plants that cover eachother a little too well, leading to one being overly optimal for whatever you're using them for...

But I don't recall anything with no use at all.

I might have just not gotten far enough in to find it. really there seems to be so many researchs right off the bat that seem to serve no purpose at all.

Ah. Perhaps some of the issue is you aren't also playing with bobs? Angels mod is very very much designed to play nice with bob's mods. Otherwise, for example, a lot of the processing options just give you slightly more efficient ways to get iron and copper ore, rather than giving you ways to get different ores entirely.

I do also have bobs. I am just still learning it i think.

Then a bit of advice, stay away from pyanadon's mods. If you're struggling to handle angels and bobs...well, the entire py suite is like 5-10x worse.

will do. if it was just complex id be cool but there just feels like too much that dosn't do anything or that has no use. in same cases there are new recepies for the same product that are way harder and less efficient than early ones
fractalgem Nov 19, 2021 @ 11:06am
There's two types of ore production. Mixed ores, which you generally need to use at first to get more advanced ores, and pure-ores, which give a pure ore type (which makes logistics muuuch simpler despite the small "inefficiency"-and you can make slag infinitely with dirt water electrolysis.)

For smelting, more advanced recipes give you more plates per ore at the cost of complexity, though it's easy to mess up your math and think they're less efficient. HOWEVER, at early stages, simply crushing and smelting saphirite *does* give you more iron, but no copper, which can lead to some confusion.

That's the thing about Minecraft. Tons of great ideas, always executed super poorly.

I very much dislike the slow start of Seablock. I want to learn to modify some of its recipes to speed it up. A lot of time is just waiting for things to accumulate.
The furthest I got was the algae->wood bricks -> coal process then I just needed to wait on slag and mud to make more landfill which was taking hours because my only limiting factor had become lack of space.

I can't even get seablock to run.

The fact
'orio that factorio can't run more then a set amount of items so it limits you on mod count. (meaning u cant run a bunch of mega mods like, SE,Decortorio,Kasterio,And a few hundred others together, i have the ram, but the game hard limits the amount of sprites or somthing.)

Mods in general, i don't like alot of the resource changing mods... for instance making red science is copper plate and iron gear... the mod for instance makes that require instead... (Glass,Red coloring,Energy cell, and a whole bunch of other ♥♥♥♥...) when mods do this alot, i don't tend to use them. a few changes... for instance glass + like red liquid is fine... but over doin it with like 12 requirements for one item is just dumb... (this was an example)
