How do I access the inventory while in map view?
Map view seems to have gotten an overhaul in v2.0. Great and dandy, but if I have a blueprint in my inventory, can I just pull that out and use it easily?

It seems that the best possible path is closing map view, then opening blueprints library, then putting the blueprint from inventory into the blueprints library, then opening the map again, and then navigating to the place I was previously looking at.

And, what if I want to ghost plan specifically with stuff I have in my inventory, because it's all together instead of split into tabs? Or at least see how much stuff I have to plan things better, via quickbars maybe?

Same problem here :)

What I saw is that if you put your blueprint/books in the blueprint library, you can use them from this place without any restrictions.

Hope it will help ;)

yeah, that's the better place for them in the first place

but if by accident, or for whatever other reason, i do end up with a blueprint in my inventory, forget, and navigate to a spot on the map, it becomes an actual chore to get back to that blueprint and then place it where i want it lol

fixed? i still cant open my inventory while in map view and i would love to use bp/upgrade and deconstructionplanner from it :/
at least they should allow to keep bp/up/dec when using a rocket, so i could leave em at the hotbar

What makes you think that? Situation still seems to be the same, and I don't even see anything relevant in settings anyway.

I play the game through Steam, and it updated me to 2.0.10 (build 79578, linux64), which is also the latest on the website, so I don't think I'm missing anything, except maybe the 2.0.11 experimental build. I don't intend on running an experimental build though lol

I've always placed my blueprints in by hot bar, so I didn't notice at all. I noticed a couple bugs though, most notably I'm unable to add blueprints into a blueprint book when in remote view.

No, it's not, not when I want a blueprint just for this map, and only this map, and probably only for *now*. Temporary blueprints. "Copy and paste"… not all features of blueprints are available in simple c&p.

eh fair, not the point either way
If I open the blueprint book in remote view , I cannot active the bp from the book with left click , but
Place the blueprint book in quickbar . Then In remote view click on the blueprint book . You can use shift-mousewheel to go through all blueprint from the book .

Not exactly sure what you're trying to do, nor why it fails. I tried what I think you want to do and it works as expected, without any hotbar tricks.

I open remote view, then I open my print library. In the library I left-click on a print and it's in my cursor ready to build. If, instead I open a book in the library and then left-click on a print in there the same thing, in the cursor ready to build.

What am I missing about what you want to do?

If you want a blueprint for this map, and this map only, but not just for "now", put in the "Game blueprints" tab instead of the "My blueprints" tab. The prints and books in "My blueprints" are all stored in the external file and can be used in any game. The stuff in "Game blueprints" are stored in the save file only. Copy the save file to a friend's computer and the "Game blueprints" are part of it, but the prints in "My blueprints" are not part of it and you won't be able to use them.

The idea of using a print for "now" also means deleting it when "now" is done. Sure, the instantly made print has features that C&P prints don't immediately have, until they are placed in the hotbar and opened like any other print. Placing it in the hotbar stores it in your inventory (if you have room anyway). If you place it directly into inventory, rather than the hotbar, it's not available in remote view. Of course, you can't place it in inventory directly from remote view either. Instead of pressing "E" to store it in inventory, just press "B" and put it in the library where it belongs. If it is really 'temporary' just remember to delete it when you've used it. If you're not deleting it, it is not temporary and should be put where it belongs.
press 'b'. save blueprint in blueprint library.
It works in ghost mode.
