Belt balancing
I have a two way lane for iron plates and its unbalanced (one of the belts has less) ran some belt balancing and nothing? I installed belt balancers from the web and nothing event tried making my own and no balance.

I don't entirely understand the question. If you have two belts and the flow on one is larger than the other then you need a belt balancer, basically just a splitter if you have only two belts, but there are more complex balancers for 4 belts. If the flow on one of the two lanes on a belt is larger than the other then you need a lane balancer. Check the "Balancer mechanics" article on the wiki for details.

Inserters take from the nearest side of the belt. If you have machines on only one side of the belt using materials that side will have less material on it. You either need to set up machines that mirror the opposite side of the belt so that the materials are used up at the same rate or you need to set up lane balancers after the splitter that takes the materials off your belt.

2 belts -> splitter -> 2 belts
Nothing more, nothing less.

There are limitations to what this setup can manage to do.
It can level out varying input & demand in a scenario where 2 train stops might not always deliver stuff and assembler never need to have 2 full belts.

If your factory pulls enough stuff (from one belt), the throughput will just not be enough to keep belts full.
In that case you could upgrade from yellow to red to blue belts if you havn't done yet. Or you are at the point to build a 3rd belt.
Maybe just another splitter to balance belts 'down the line' after your demand might work, too.

There is some room for misconception, sadly. Let me explain:
- Each belt consists of 2 lanes. Left and right lanes.
- Splitter balancing only works for the same lane. You can balance between two belts, but only by the same lane.
|1|2| |3|4| - you will only be able to balance the load between 1 and 3, or 2 and 4. But NOT for 1 and 2, or 3 and 4, or 1 and 4(and etc.),
You need to mix the paths.

Have a look at https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comments/jjji53/perfect_lane_balancers/ and specifically https://i.gyazo.com/7b949383e12ff7e6dae32071e65dc9b8.png for how to set up a lane balancer for a single belt. Personally I often use https://i.imgur.com/M56tgan.png
